WHO WE ARE

Here at Feliciana Baptist Church we are a family – a family of brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.  Everything that we seek to do flows out of the fact that we have been given radical grace from God.  Our community seeks to continue to connect to God through worship, to become disciples of Jesus Christ, and to respond to the grace that God has given us by launching out into the world and sharing the same grace and love that we have found.

We are diverse in age, and we count that as a real strength to have many generations of our family together from young to not so young.  Many people find our children and youth programs to be strong and formative in some of the most important years in one's life.

Though we've only been a church since 1989, we have a wealth of history and experience that informs us, but we also have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and we are always excited to see what new thing God might be calling us to.

We have many direct ministries and missions in our church, but part of our strength lies with all of our partners as well. We partner with the William Wallace Baptist Association, the Baptist State Convention of LA, we work regularly with our local private and public schools, we work with missions in Nicaragua, Haiti and more, give to great organizations and much, much more.

Join us this Sunday for a great blend of worship music, followed by a relevant and Bible-based message. And if you’re worried about what to wear, don’t... you’ll find some of us in suits and some in jeans, and many from all age groups.
Please call our office and ask any questions you can think of... we hope to see you Sunday!

Why should I consider making Feliciana Baptist my church family?

Because we do everything we can to teach biblical doctrine, provide a place for believers to celebrate their life in Christ as they worship, learn and share together, we observe the Lord’s supper monthly and celebrate Christ’s goodness daily... and we pray for each other!
We believe that wherever you are in life, Jesus can meet you here... could it be that God is calling you to be a part of our church?
We think so!

Acts 2:42 could be considered a purpose statement for the church: “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” According to this verse, the purposes/ activities of the church should be 1) teaching biblical doctrine, 2) providing a place of fellowship for believers, 3) observing the Lord’s supper, and 4) praying.
